The unique Quilters Mate ironing board is made from a beautiful Russian Birch wood which is very hard and will withstand high heat and moisture without warping or rotting. The board measures 24 inches long and 12 inches wide. The metal bracket that attaches the board to your sewing table is 12 inches by 3 1/2 inches and is made from 24-gauge steel which is double powder coated in white for a smooth and attractive edge. The board is supported by a detachable 30 inch hardwood, lathe-turned leg which will fit most standard sewing machine tables and can be stained to match your décor. The pad on the board is ¼ inch nylon needle-punched synthetic mono-filament flannel made especially for laundry and dry cleaning. It is durable, resilient, moisture and mildew resistant, and retains heat better than natural fibers. The board attaches to your table with two 2 1/2 inch padded C-clamps, (included), so that it can be easily transported to retreats or quilting bees. These cutters are extremely sharp and will accurately cut through many thicknesses of fabric. They are available in right- or left-handed models and 45 mm or 60 mm sizes. We carry Martelli’s superior replacement blades which are sharper and last much longer than other brands; however, other standard rotary blades on the market will fit the 45 mm cutters. The 60 mm cutters require Martelli replacement blades. The cutters must be used with a cutting mat.
